Columbia Sportswear Venture Pants - Convertible, UPF 50 (For Men)

Nice fitting pants, a little too long, but I knew that they would be when I bought them.

I am living where the temperatures reach 150F, and have to wear long pants. These are perfect for here.

As a lineman for the telephone company I am outside all day, in all weather conditions and these pants are great. We're not allowed to wear shorts, but with these I can unzip them a bit for some nice air conditioning. Plus, they are thin but super tough. I definitely recommend these for any phone or cable technician!

These look and feel like dress pants unlike others that look like ripstop tents. Hard to tell that they are convertible.

I now have two pair of these. They are light but water and wind resistant. I wear these for winter hiking in the Rockies.

I really like the quality of these pants. They're a bit more heavyweight than I thought, but are very comfortable, and I look forward to using them as travel pants. I wished I'd bought a size smaller (I bought a 40, then returned for a 38), but with the addition of a belt they're functional. And I'd bought the smallest available length (30inch), but they still seem a little long, by about a couple of inches. Because they've got zip openings on the legs, I don't have the option of taking them up.

An excellent addition to my travel wardrobe -- super comfortable, breathable yet warm, and quality fabric and construction make for a stylish, outstanding product.

I was looking to replace my old Columbia zip off pants with these. The Columbia Venture pants seem to be well made like everything else Columbia makes. I ordered a 30" waist, 30" inseam, the pants fit perfect around my waist but the inseam measured more like 31 1/2. The shorts were way too long, about 2 inches below my knees and the openings at the bottom of the pants were 20" around. I am not into baggy pants but if that is what you are looking for then they might work out great. I sent them back
