This is a great vest alone or over warmer clothes.

After a week of pheasant hunting in South Dakota wearing the Columbia vest, I can only say positives about it. The fabric is sturdy. The shell holders
are properly size. The fit is "right on"!

great vest, comfortable, simple, gets the job done. my only complaint is that the shell holders aren't very easy to put 12ga shells into, and don't hold 20ga shell s very tightly.

This vest is light enough to be used in the heat of the summer or early fall. Roomy enough however, to wear over a jacket or light coat for winter time bird hunting. Great design and excellent buy.

A little bit of mesh in the back doesnt really make it a "warm" weather vest, but does help it breathe a bit. Sturdy construction and ample room make it a great all season bird vest.

The vest is great. I purchased the tan/ blaze model. Its got plenty of orange but not overkill. its heavy duty construction, easy to access pouch, easy access shell holders, not too heavy. The one thing that bothers me slightly is since the shell holders aren't elastic if you are not careful when bending over the shells all fall out. you kind of have to hold them so they don't. otherwise a great product.

I think you can't go wrong with this vest. It feels like the fit is right on. It is heavier material that you think, maybe not the best choice for really hot weather. I would wear this in cold conditions too. The blaze is blinding and can be seen for miles. No complaints. The best thing was the price I paid. For the discounted price you can't go wrong.
