    This jacket has a somewhat strange fit, but is perfect for my husband who, at 72, is tall, slim, proportionately flat-chested compared to shoulders and waist. Thus he can wear it over a light fleece jacket, but most probably wouldn't be able to. The sleeves are long, but using the velcro sleeve fasteners takes care of that. The silver color is wonderful, but would not provide much visibility in rainy or foggy conditions. I'm going to check that I would recommend it to a friend, but with the above caveats.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    Knuckle-draggin' arm length seems waay out of place on this otherwise nice jacket. Also, lack of inner lining makes it feel plasticky against your skin, so best for cooler temps when a shell is needed over long sleeves. Haven't worn it in a downpour, but no reason to believe it wouldn't serve its purpose under such conditions. Nice venting, stores & packs easily, too -- but there are probably better choices out there.

    Solid lightweight jacket. The chest was suprisingly snug for the sleeve length. Velcro on the sleeves is a little small-I expect to it come loose during regular use.

    As a waterproof shell this jacket is great. It is lightweight, so you'll need layers in cold weather. The sleeves are a little long, but if you are layering underneath, it helps to have the shell sleeves longer. It repels water very well.
