I love this jacket. I have worn the two together on really cold days and have been perfect. I have also taken the two apart and wore the shell over sweatshirts in the rain and not gotten wet. I tend to wear the liner most days as my "spring" coat. It's not to hot or to cold. Runs perfect to size. My only negative is that the liner does not have a hood but I guess I knew that when I purchased it.

I spotted this coat at another sporting goods store, watched, and waited for it to go on sale. Thanks to Sierra Trading Post I got a killer deal and my first ski coat. I am an average girl at 5'7 and 150 pounds. I read the other reviews that say size up, so I went with a LARGE. Glad I did because the coat is warm, but not warm enough for me. The large affords me enough space to wear thermals and a fitted sweater underneath. The only reason I did not give the coat a 5 is because of the skirt design. When the inner jacket is zipped into the outer shell-you cannot use the skirt. But that is a minimal flaw, in an otherwise excellent coat.

This is the fourth Interchange jacket purchased in our family. The jacket keeps you warm and dry in the coldest Vermont blizzard. Having the zip out lining allows you to take one jacket out the door and then transform it into very comfortable indoor wear. Beyond that, Columbia's quality is on par if not better than North Face or Patagonia. And Columbia stands behind its products. If the jacket has a defect, Columbia will either repair or replace, assuming the problem wasn't caused by the owner.

I received this jacket right before my trip to Normandy, France and decided to bring it because of its versitility. It was great. When it was cold and windy, I put in the insulated jacket with the shell and it works great. The reason why it is only 4 stars instead of 5 is that the sleeves of the inner jacket kind of sticks out . One can see the silver Omni heat lining . Aso, if you are looking for a jacket for really cold weather, this is not enough. But it works wells for 40's weather. The hood is also very good, does not obscure vision.

I have been loyal to Columbia jackets for a few years now because they fit well, are built well, and are very functional. This jacket superseded my expectations, especially in regards to the color. I was leery about the red-plaid, but was pleasantly surprised. Even though it isn't winter yet (I get jackets when they go on sale), this jacket will definitely fulfill its purpose in keeping me warm and dry during the season. I dig the inner jackets extra attached sleeves at the bottom of the arm. I am not sure what the technical term is, but they help alleviate cold air from flowing back up your arms. Very nice. Love this jacket!!

My wife loves this jacket - runs small, like many Columbia jackets, but has many great features. The liner is actually an attractive jacket of its own, so it's not like some combination jackets where you'd never want to wear them separately.

My last Columbia 3-in-1 finally needed to be replaced after about six years. (Its demise was helped along by my rescue border collie who felt the need to chew the pockets in search of dog treats.) I rarely wear both layers at once. I wear the inside layer practically year round. It is nice for chilly summer evenings at the Little League field. I wear the outside layer for skiing and winter hikes. I am 5'8, a size 10/12, 150 lbs. and usually wear a medium/large in coats/jackets. I know from experience that Columbia rums small so I ordered an XL and it fits well. The only color left in my size was a neon yellow/green. It is a little bright, but fun and funky. The inside layer, which I wear most of the time is basic black.

I love my coat. I'm 5'1 and 115 lbs. It is heavy duty and great for Colorado winters. I ordered a medium (because others said it ran small) and it fits perfectly. Mine is black. Nice materials and well made. It is flattering for a woman's body; no boxy look like some other coats I tried on. This is the nicest coat I've ever purchased. Fast shipping too!

The interchange jacket is very comfortable, warm and stylish. It is not too bulky. Both layers look and feel good on their own or together. There are tons of pockets and ways to adjust the fit. I ordered the jacket in white. The inner layer is white with gray cross-hatching (not plaid). It is subtle, just enough of a pattern to not be boring. The collar and cuffs are super comfy. i am very happy with the purchase, especially for the price.
