    Bought these Feb '11, for a ski trip. LOVE these socks! So comfy, plenty warm, not itchy. They are tight at the top, tho, but not uncomfortable. If you have a bigger calf, they might be too tight.

    These are excellent ski socks. I purchased these (Bugaboo) as well as the Bridgedale and Winter Ride socks from Columbia on STP and these are by far my favorite. My toes never felt a nip of cold while I wore these skiing in Zermatt last week, whereas I needed an extra toe warmer packet for the Winter Ride socks. Also, the black is great; it keeps my feet extra warm discreetly in clogs while I'm just getting through the cold on NYC streets, and not skiing. I'll definitely buy these again.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    These socks are a good fit, true to size and are comfortable except for the arch band in the bottom of the foot. If you are like me and have sensitive feet that feel the slightest imperfection in the surface you're standing on (like a wrinkle in your sock or a grain of sand in your shoe) then these are not the socks for you. The arch band feels very obvious and uncomfortable and annoying.
