I will also wear it on its own - though the white color (only one available) is a bit impractical for frequent wear. I ordered a small and I can still wear light layers under it for skiing, but the sleeves are long for me and I will shorten them. But... the jacket itself is so beautiful. The inside is soft and the outside fabric is silky and will keep out the wind.

Wish it came in different colors though as the off-white shows wear easily. Very stylish but you definitely pay for the name brand. I bought it on sale and I still think it was expensive. Very disappointed that I washed it twice and the stitching in the sleeve is unraveling. It is already starting to pill in the front chest area too.

Question “I can't find answer even with the reviews. Is this a double thickness of polyester? Is the lining just the same material as the outside or a different material? I really need a little more information on thickness/warmth of this jacket. I would wear it over light sweater or turtleneck w/scarg for traveling/shopping so not too warm but warm enough in the winter for going in and out. Thanks!”

Answer This is a soft shell jacket with a brushed fleece lining inside that is made of polyester the same as the outside. It does feel like a double thick polyester that would be warm in cool weather but not extreme cold temps.
