I will also wear it on its own - though the white color (only one available) is a bit impractical for frequent wear. I ordered a small and I can still wear light layers under it for skiing, but the sleeves are long for me and I will shorten them. But... the jacket itself is so beautiful. The inside is soft and the outside fabric is silky and will keep out the wind.

Wish it came in different colors though as the off-white shows wear easily. Very stylish but you definitely pay for the name brand. I bought it on sale and I still think it was expensive. Very disappointed that I washed it twice and the stitching in the sleeve is unraveling. It is already starting to pill in the front chest area too.

This jacket was perfect for a 3 hour snowshoe on a day that began @ 32 degrees and ended @ 40 degrees. It was comfortable, moved with me, breathable and kept me dry and warm without getting over-heated. Nice job Columbia!

Reviewed by DogMa from Oh on Saturday, January 12, 2013The lining on this jacket is a microfleece that makes it almost impossible to slide on over anything with any nap to it. It also has very narrow sleeves. While it was advertised as working with the interchange system, when it is zipped into a Columbia Core Interchange outer shell, the one side extends beyond the top of the zipper, creating an extra bunch of fabric. The fabric of the shell is very prone to static from rubbing against the outer shell and picks up any little bit of lint as a result. I've given up on this and since I cannot return it, it was an expensive mistake.
