Columbia Sportwear Ruby Peak 3-in-1 Parka - Waterproof (For Women)

Purchased the orange color for my daughter because she has been begging for a "tangerine orange" winter coat. The coat looked beautiful - although it did seem a little transparent like one of the other reviews mentioned. Decided to return it due to price versus her age and would be too hard for her to keep clean and decided the Columbia coat she already has is just fine.

The jacket was very cute but I'm a true medium and it was way too tight on me. Get one or two sizes larger than normal. Also, it was pretty short and I was afraid my butt would get too cold. It did feel very warm, though, and it was awfully cute. Ultimately had to exchange for something else.

I bought this jacket for the 2010 olympics. Though it was very warm for those, it was very cold this year in VA with lots of snow. It was great for warmth in the teens, even with wind chills far below that and tons of snow. I love that it is multi-layer so you can adjust for appropriate weather (great to travel with).

I got this in "tangerine" to be more visible when skiing, and this did the trick. The insulated liner is too puffy so I use this with the fleece liner from my invisible white jacket. The shell is windproof and breathable, but very thin. The printed liner is visible through the outside and almost looks like a stain on the jacket. I love my other Columbia 3 in 1 but don't love this one. If it weren't for the need to be seen I would have sent it back. Not enough pockets either. I would recommend with reservations.

I love this jacket and hate the zippers. The outside right pocket gets caught every time I zip it down. Its in the design. I would love to figure out how to rig it so I can keep the jacket. The jacket is very soft and warm. Great material bad zippers!

This jacket FEELS great -- the inner lining is the softest you can imagine, and overall the jacket is beautifully made. My only issue is the zippers -- the outer zipper was very hard to zip and kept getting caught in fabric (I read another review that said it ripped her jacket, and I could definitely see that happening). I'll have to return it for that reason but it felt really, really great on.

I call it my 'dreamcicle' jacket as I got the orange one but my family can always find me on the slopes. Lots of extra features make it great for skiing. Easy to seperate jacket and liner. The liner is suitable to be worn along as a jacket. A bit on the heavy side.

Exceeded expectations

Excellent jacket, would recommend, stylish and nice detailing. One thing to watch for, ordered the white and the inside jacket is shown to be white, it is actually a magenta color. I like it either way but from the pictures I thought this jacket was black and white colored.

I will not get lost in the snow is this great orange parka. Let it snow I'm ready!
