    These shorts are decent quality, but the fit just didn't work for me. This is a very straight short through the waist and especially hips. I wish they would have worked, because I normally like Columbia's clothing. These I had to return.

    I got these shorts to work outside in for the FL summers but they were too long and too tight. I orget that Columbia runs small and high on the waist. I like a 3-4inch inseam for work shorts and these were over 8, I might as well be wearing pants at that point. As for the irregular fit, it was mainly because the waist was so high that it gave me a pooch in the front from the baggy area between my real waist and thighs.

    Pretty true-to-size, a tad on the smaller size. Very durable, strong fabric that will withstand thorns and burrs. So, yes, it's a little stiff, but I think after several washings it will be softer. Very well made. Excellent stiching.
