This fit the curtain pole above the sliding glass door in our finished basement as if it were made to measure. All fold lines hung out within minutes. Besides being room darkening, it insulated the door very well; the room immediately warmed up. The color complemented the nearby brick fireplace, and the richness of the faux suede fabric is attractive.

The good news; these curtains are indeed keeping daylight out and look classy. However, I called my mother in Europe to hear about fancy tricks to get the wrinkles out without melting the backing. The washing instructions strongly suggest no ironing but I have had the curtains hanging for weeks and the wrinkles do not disappear on their own! The weight of the curtains is not eliminating this problem.

WE HAVE TRIPLE SLIDING DOORS THAT WERE ALWAYS COLD IN THE WINTER. THE DRAPES HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE, THE ROOM FEELS WARMER WHEN THE DRAPES ARE CLOSED. LOVE THE COLOR (GOLD) AND THE TEXTURE, SOFT SUEDE-LIKE.

I live on a bend in a major crosstown avenue with heavy traffic and car headlights penetrated most of the drapes or blinds I tried earlier. (My wife wouldn't go for the idea of hanging a vinyl tarp in the bedroom.)These puppies stop the light so I can get some sleep! I don't know how well the thermal insulation works because the real winter cold hasn't yet arrived, but they certainly insulate well on the20 degree nights we've had thus far. The only downside is that the pole pocket seems a bit smaller than most. I had to buy a skinnier pole in order to hang them. Overall, I'm very happy with these blackout curtains.

The color of the curtains add color to the room while being somewhat neutral. These are being used over our sliding glass doors and fit well (sizing & length). My husband is convinced they are saving on the heating bill already since they are insulated. [...]

I love these drapes, first of all they were a great buy so I was afraid they might be a bit cheesy looking, but not so. I chose to hang them from rings on a rod for an elegant effect. The color is rich and they drape the windows elegantly. I live in Tucson AZ, it hasn't gotten cold yet, so I can't attest to their thermal properties yet. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, they fit the bill.
