    Insulating/blackout backing really a moot point with a valance unless combined with drapes. I'm using with a window cell shade and vertical patio door shades and the valances look great. Nice warm color.

    These appear to be nice valances...good quality, nice fabric. BUT the natural color, which looks off white on screen, is actually more of a beige/tan, which won't match my decor, so I have to send them back. :(
