Ok, I sent back 2 different sets of curtains that got high reviews. They were ugly and cheap looking, so I was nervous about ordering these as replacements(especially with no review). Well, these are nice looking and nice fabric and the gold is gold but not too shiny or golden. The tonal stripes are nice and the pleated tops make them look more elegant. However, they lose a 1/2 a star for not being black out. They are lined but are light and not for blacking out a bedroom. I wanted them for my bedroom but will have to add a second layer of black out to work. However, they look classy enough( so many curtains/drapes are so F-ugly looking these days and expensive) and actually work with my white (not beige) walls and match close enough to the gold in my pretty comforter set so look really nice. So I highly recommend if black out is not a deal breaker. They do block out some light.

These are beautiful drapes as well as practical. We needed to cover some extra high windows to keep from losing heat and they have definitely improved the comfort-level of that room in the very cold winter weather. They maintain the pleated drape look although they fit on a plain rod.

I needed orangey curtains and ordered these on clearance not expecting much. they turned out to be beautiful and of great quality. i would not call them "black out" curtains but they do block out a lot of light. the fabric and stripe pattern are really nice. very happy with these, even if i would have paid twice the price.
