“Nice curtain but do not block light”

“I bought these to darken light coming in an east bedroom window. The curtains are made of a nice fabric. They drape well and look nice. The lining probably insulates noise and outside heat or cold (I have new windows and those aren't problems for me) but does very little to darken the room which is the problem I bought them to correct. They are really nice curtains for the price and I love the 72" length because I live in an old house with long windows and baseboard heat and they cover the windows and sills but hang above the baseboard. Unfortunately, the early morning sun still gets through and wakes me up. I bought the sand color... maybe a darker color would have worked better but it would look terrible in my little bedroom. I would recommend the curtains for everything except room darkening.”
