Good looking and pretty comfortable once I swapped the insoles for some gels. lasted about six months before the toe stitching started coming loose and the interior lining began to tear. at about 9 months the composite top came loose and began wearing on my toes. This is under more extreme indoors conditions, walking over 5 miles a day. If your job is less physical they would probably be fine.

I'd give the shoes 4 stars @ full price- and w/o hesitation 5 stars @ STP's price. Had a couple previous pairs purchased somewhere else @ full price- one (the high top version) had defective glue and over time the outer sole partially separated from the rest of the shoe and began flapping around a bit. Regardless- still got my money's worth so @ the STP price w/extra discount I went ahead and purchased 2 new pairs. Put one up on a shelf and am wearing the other right now. I work on a ship in the engine room- so my environment definitely qualifies as harsh and at times extreme. These shoes do not replace leather boots- but they work about 90% of the time.

Have only worn the shoe in the house for a short time, but seems like a good deal for a good shoe. Sturdy and surprisingly comfortable. Heavier than a typical skate-style shoe (probably due to the hazard ratings). Good foot volume--wide means wide. Ordered 1/2 size smaller and it fits well. Attractive shoes even if they were not "work shoes". Appear well-made and good quality.

About Converse

Converse All Stars are quite possibly the most widely recognized and steadfastly celebrated sneakers in US history, and for good reason. For starters, Converse shoes and boots have been around in one form or another since the company first opened its doors in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908. After a basketball player named Charles H. “Chuck” Taylor became the official ambassador of Converse All Star basketball shoes, the footwear brand would quickly skyrocket into popular culture. Today, the classic Converse Chuck Taylor shoe is one of the best-selling sneakers in the world. When you wear Converse shoes, you’re wearing an original American icon.
