5.0 out of 5 stars. A rare find!Reviewed by Dave from New England on Sunday, November 2, 2014I've owned over 70 flyrods in my time and have recently added several new Pro-Casts to that line-up. In my mind they are that good a mix of lightness, performance and value. This one in particular is exceptional as while there are allot of decent rod choices out there in the $100 price range, very few are over 9'. This rod is built in a fast ( but not stiff) action, fine diameter (green blank) is nicely finished , has good quality components and performs like some $300+ rods from just a few years ago. It ships in a rod sock but no tube. ( A little disappointed there but I have others.) I think it's a great choice any place a mid weight, longer rod is desired ( i.e. Deep wading , kayak/float tube fishing or where mending longer lines is the norm. ) Mine will be seeing double duty in the estuaries this spring for striper fishing as well as for bass bugging from my kayak.
