I returned this coat. In the picture, it looks like it has a nice drape. In reality, the fabric is thin and shapeless-- like felt--it hangs like a rag.

Nice, mid-weight coat. Somewhat dressy. Use for work or going out.

This coat has me in a bit of a quandary, size-wise. I am 5'10" and 165 lbs, broad shoulders. An XL was way too big so I got an L, which is still a bit big in the shoulders. But, if I sized down, the sleeves would be shorter. Also, the sleeves are narrow and because the coat is lined and thus does not stretch, I think I would be immobile in a smaller size. So, a bit of a dropped shoulder, and thus a slightly frumpier look than necessary, it is. The width of the bottom part doesn't help with this, but that gives the coat a nice weight. Just too bad they ran out of buttons just below the waist.

For a more formal look, which this coat would lend itself to, I would go to a M.

This is a light coat for outdoors or a really warm sweater for indoors.

I like the color and the feel of the fabric. But, when I put it on, it hung like a bag. It had no shape at all. The collar was lower than I thought. You would definately have to have a scarf in cold or wind conditions. Overall, I wasn't pleased and returned it.

The fabric and design is beautiful but the coat is tailored more like a blazer with narrow armholes and shorter, slimmer sleeves. I'm glad I ordered a size larger. I'm a size 16 which would normally be a 1x and I'd have room for a bulky sweater or blazer underneath. I ordered a 2x and I can only wear a blouse or lightweight sweater under this coat. The classic design fits my style even if it has limited function.

This coat lacks refinement I would expect of a wool coat. The boiled wool is coarse and the stiches are large. I noticed on the picture the flare and lack of drape and I should have believed my eyes. It would do ok in an eclectic community of individualists, but not for a evening out over a dress.

Warning. If you are a shorter person, 5'4 and shorter, this coat will be shin length or longer. It was hard to tell it was that long from the model's picture. None the less, it works for a more casual and light coat.
