Nice color and fit. The biggest issue is the thin cotton band inside the hat. Gives a cheap feel to an otherwise high quality hat. Looks like it will sweat stain easily.

This has become my favorite everyday work and casual hat for anytime but the hottest or coldest of days. I find this hat to be much more protective and flexible than a baseball cap, but with better shape than a bucket hat. The cord can be stored inside, when not needed, still allowing a loop across the back of the head for security in the wind.

Great bang for the buck. It might run a bit small. I love it.

while this hat has a lot going for it - a mesh band for ventilation, adjustable chin strap, durable material, light weight, and a wide brim - it was really unattractive. The brim was wavy, and the overall look just plain homely. It went back in favor of another one.

took a chance here on cheap price, not sure what to expect from wide brim brushed organic cotton...very happy with both the look (classy navy blue with dark brown band) and fit (compact but still flexible)...cotton texture gives it a harder feel than more expensive aussie company leather outback hats, but still allows comfortable shaping around your head (tougher texture also means wide brim stays mostly flat)...found it perfect for both sunny days as well as relatively heavy San Francisco winds (snug fit and texture allow you to wear it even without the drawstring and not have it blow off)...sophisticated color combination makes it appropriate IMO for more upscale activities than say some cowboy hats...gonna use it more than I expected.

I use this hat when going on short-duration hikes, or just walking around town. Since it's narrow-brimmed, what you give up in sun protection, you make up in style. Hats are always a gamble online, but this one's a keeper. My head measures 22 7/8, I got a medium, and it fit like a glove.

I wonder what it means that straw hats always work well for me? Such is the case again with this nice straw hat with flat brim from Cov-ver that looks so good and provides shade just as well any Panama hat will. The hat has a cloth sweatband and the small/medium fits my 57cm head perfectly. Women will like this hat too. Better to keep it out of reach of the kids and the pets because it is somewhat delicate.

Considering another for a gift had too send first back but liked it so much got a smaller size.

True to size, great for the price.

First, although I wouldn't "recommend this to a friend", this isn't a terrible price for this kind of hat. The sizing also seems accurate (I wear a 7-3/8 and the large was a good fit). The hat is a bit heavy but STP gives it's weight in the specs, so no surprise there. There's a metal snap on the side of the hat that lets you fold the brim up and keep it there (and doubles as a vent) - but apparently only one, so only one side of the brim folds up. Also, don't be fooled by the "100% organic cotton" fabric; there are two layers of fabric on the upper part of the hat and in between is some kind of polymer stuffing. To me that also means if you were to use this hat as sun-protection, these layers, plus the dark color, would almost certainly act as insulation and create a miniature oven on top of your head with just that one tiny button for ventilation. Overall, I don't recommend this hat - it doesn't seem like Cov-ver spent much time thinking through the design.
