Photochromic optics adjust to changing light conditions
Bought one for my dad after he finished getting Lasix. They are big and look bad on me, but were comfortable. He loves them and I am buying a second pair for another relative who needs them for fishing in hazy/cloudy conditions. They don't look dark enough for bright conditions on the water.

The "photochromic" gimmick got me to order these, after I lost my pair of Hobie polarized with polycarbonate lenses. I paid less for the Hobies on sale at a sporting goods store than I paid here for the Coyote, and the Coyote is worse in every single way:
1. The ends of the temples are pointed metal. I stab myself repeatedly trying to put these on under a motorcycle helmet. Really, an idiotic design.
2. The anti-reflective coating on the inside of the lens is a joke, compared to Hobie. So whenever the sun is in front of you, the reflection of your skin on the inside of the lens makes everything more glaring and less clear.
3. The "wrap-around" style doesn't wrap all the way around, so if the sun is at your side, glare comes through the side of the glasses.
4. The polarization is not well-done, not as thorough as the Hobie. It's uncomfortable to face the sun in these glasses. The light tint doesn't help. And the "photochromic" feature is almost non-existent - they don't really darken.
5. Those pointed temple ends touch the inside of the lens when they're folded. Over time, you'll get two permanent scratch spots there.
So...got them last night, wore them today, will be returning them tomorrow. Not worth the money, even at this sale price.

Pros:
Adequate Tint, Good Polarization
Cons:
Too Small
Sizing:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
These were too small for my head, though most glasses are. Very nice that they were photochromatic in addition to being polarized. this would have been an almost perfect pair had they fit.

I was looking for a pair of sunglasses for driving that had a light brown tint to reduce glare but were not so dark that I felt like falling asleep. While I think the tint was probably good, I really didn't like how they looked so I did not give them a fair test. They also felt rather flimsy. Just not for me.

Excellent sunglasses. Just got back form Iraq with these. Perfect fit for a larger big person. Sweet photochromatic lens that doesn't scratch easily. Dropped a few times, no damage - durable. Amazing value. And, a very handsome looking pair of glasses.

Great sunglasses. The only drawback is I wish the photochromic tint would get a little darker in the bright sunlight. Besides that, excellent fit and finish.
