5.0 out of 5 stars. Toasty Warm

Have been wearing this jacket in the end of November St. Louis, MO weather. Visiting from CA, this weather is very cold for me and this jacket has enabled me to go on many outdoor activities & has kept me warm and dry in the freezing wind and rain. It is warm enough that I don't have to bundle up & wear heavy clothes underneath, but roomy enough to do so if I wanted. I may have been able to order a size down. The length hits my knees, so it keeps my legs warm. Appreciate that the jacket is machine washable, that you can remove the fur trim from the hood and the hood is removable from the jacket if you do not need it. The Thunder Grey color is actually a very nice blue-grey. Another great purchase from STP!! Very pleased with this jacket!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. good quality

Nice soft material and like the color. Good for colder weather than we usually have, but need something warm for those occasional cold spells. The fur is a bit much, but can be removed. I would have done so, if I'd kept it, but decided to send it back. Only because I decided what I really wanted was a lighter weight down coat.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. The best coat ever!

Love it! It was exactly what I was looking for. I spilled coffee on my arm and it just rolled right off so I'm feeling confident about taking it to snowy Japan and staying dry. It is very warm. Fits true to size. It's also a nice soft material and doesn't make that swishing sound when you walk.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Fussy Zipper

While the soft material and light weight of this coat are plusses, the zipper is very fussy - I could barely unzip it to try it on and I was worried that I was going to break it. The coat itself fit well in size Medium (5'5" 110#), but it's shapeless and the fur hood is ridiculously oversized. It wasn't the right item for me.

Received this coat as a Christmas gift. It has an incredibly soft, quiet exterior. It has been my go-to coat as the weather has been extremely cold here. It is warm and comfortable. My only disappointment is that it is a little longer than it looks in the picture and the sleeves seem a little long. Otherwise, I am very pleased.

Love this coat! Very warm and comfortable. Since I live in the south, I can't speak to how it does in snow! However, it did great during the last extreme cold (highs in the 30's-please don't laugh if you're from Minnesota!) I love that the hood is removeable, and there are ample pockets with zippers so I don't lose my gloves! If you are looking for a warm coat for winter I highly recommend this coat.

About Craghoppers

The story behind Craghoppers jackets and apparel began in 1965 when a group of friends from Yorkshire, England started planning a trip to climb Mt. Everest. At the time, options for dependable, high-performance outerwear were pretty scant. Rather than settling for less than adequate gear, the friends decided to create their own, and the Craghoppers clothing company was born. Half a century later, Craghoppers jackets, pants, shorts and shirts are still helping people bag summits and stay comfortable on their adventures all across the globe. With features that range from lightweight, UV-resistant fabrics to Insect Shield® bug repellency, Craghoppers clothing is designed to get outdoors and go places.
