This is very thin front fabric lined with another layer of brown cloth. The stated weight includes the weight of metal rod .That rod is a cheap piece of whatever metal stick you would use to support some vegetable in your garden . Maybe it would help to weight this kilim down but in no way this will be a hanging rod as it is shorter by 2" at least than the width of the actual "art" Possibly I could use some of my own hardware to put it up on the wall but upon placing this thing on the table I noticed that the front of the kilim is smaller than it's lining and no matter what I did - it looked crooked. Overall it looks very cheap , like it was printed and not loomed. Quite disappointed because it is awkward to pack and return - specially with that pathetic useless rod.
