form over function

This is an attractive pot, and the mesh insert is spacious enough to hold adequate leaves for a good pot of tea, but it is weakly make and did not hold up for more than a couple of months. It is still usable, but the mesh is fraying at the top and coming away from the metal rim. I don't have the same complaints as the other reviews: no trouble with the bottom seam, and the drip can be corrected by pouring more slowly. Also, I don;\'t object to the handle, in fact, i find it less difficult than handling a porcelain handle with wet hands. Overall, I like how it looks and am happy enough with how it performs, but it is not my favorite tea pot.
