I needed an air rifle to deal with some destructive pests in the neighborhood, but I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. This air rifle fit the bill perfectly! It was easy and fun to sight in the scope and now it iwll reliably hit within a 3" circle at about 200', maybe longer, with quality pellets. (I use Crossman) I do wish it came with at least a few pellets, and some oil, but that may be a legal thing. The scope is VERY nice, and I really don't understand some reviews I've read that say otherwise. The rubber eyepiece ring comes off easily when cocking the rifle, until one learns to c o c k it correctly. It is not easy to c o c k, requiring some strength, but that's not a bad thing, making it impossible for a smaller child to c o c k and then fire (or dry-fire, which is BAD FOR THE RIFLE). It comes with an effective plastic trigger lock which I always use and so should you. It's a bit heavy, but for my uses, that's not a bad thing. It feels like quality, shoots very well, looks nice and seems to be durable. Read and follow the directions and it will last you well. It's well worth the price, IMHO. Another Sierra Trading Post score!
