I wear a size 8 in women's jeans and found the size 9s to fit me -- Dakota comes in 9 relaxed or 9 slim and both fit me, the relaxed good for every day comfy wear, the slim good for a night out. The 7 relaxed was just too tight. That was my only problem, as I had to order four different sizes and st... Read More

    • Answer These jeans are junior sizes, so size 19 would translate to 16-18 in women's size. Great fabric, if you like original jean fabric, not the lightweight fabric that most jeans are made of now.

    • Answer I purchased these jeans when size 9 was available. The size 19 is probably a large size, equivalent to size 18-20. Hope this helps!

  • Question “Do these jeans shrink in length?”

Asked on 12/4/2014 9:42:44 AM by Far North from Washington
    • Answer I've washed them several times and haven't noticed any shrinkage. If anything, they seem slightly longer than usual jeans to begin with. The main thing I've noticed is that they get softer with washing, like 100% cotton jeans used to, thus they feel a little looser because they Are not so stiff.

    • Answer I have never had any trouble with these jeans shrinking, although I don't usually put jeans in the dryer.

    • Answer No, not that I noticed.
Answered on 12/4/2014 4:50:06 PM by Charlotte from Chicago
    • Answer They won't if you hang them to dry. If you do put them in the dryer,at most you'll lose maybe 1/2 inch. I hang mine up to dry.

    • Answer If you normally wear even sizes which is Misses, then go by that size. If you would normally wear odd sizes, Junior size, then order that.
Answered on 11/30/2014 4:12:22 AM by Lauren72544 from arkansas
    • Answer Actually that was a little strange . I tried both the 0 and the 1, and did not see any difference in the fit--misses vs. juniors. The size 1 was slightly larger than the size 0. maybe they have sold out of the even sizes now. Anyway since there isn't any of that pesky stretch that makes jeans droop by noon, the size 1 fts like a regular size 0 that hasn't stretched. They do loosen some with wear and washing, like all jeans used to do.

    • Answer I typically wear a 12 in Women's jeans. Looking at the size chart I went with a 13 for the Cruel jeans --- It was TOO big. I returned them for a size 11 -- fits perfect! Hope this helps!!!

    • Answer The sizing is crazy. It is basically hit or miss. The reviews should help guide you. These pants run large. My only suggestion is to find a pair you like and google them to see what other people say in their reviews. Because the prices are insanely affordable, I don't mind receiving a pair or jeans that don't turn out right. I'll find another purpose for them or give them to a friend or relative. Good luck.

    • Answer I found that the sierra trading post general size chart did NOT correlate at all with cruel girl jeans sizes. My hips are 39-40" waist around 29 or 30 yet my cruel girl jeans size is 7. I think the STP chart said I should be a size 10 or 12! With sizes going crazily down all the time, I am usually a 6 and this year even a 4 in some pants. So it might be safer to go by your regular size, and add +1 for a junior version, that's what worked for me, anyway...

    • Answer I would try the next size up. But, I think when I first started to order theses jeans, which I really love, I ordered 2 sizes and returned the one that did not fit.
