Tried to research it on other web sites, but found nothing and found conflicting info in these reviews, so just closed my eyes and picked. I'm 5'10", 135, and tend to wear women's size 4-6 pants. Ordered a size 5 long, and fortunately that worked. They are a little high-waisted, and won't fit if I gain anything around my rear or thighs, but since I got such a deep discount, they fit well enough to keep. I have other jeans that are more flattering, but these are heavyweight and will be good to wear in the winter. Haven't washed them yet so don't know if they shrink or fade. Having never worn CG, I also bought the relaxed fit jeans of the same size, but those were too relaxed and too big in hips and thighs -- I'll return those.

Reviewed by Ann from NY on Tuesday, October 02, 2012I wear a size 8 in women's jeans and found the size 9s to fit me -- Dakota comes in 9 relaxed or 9 slim and both fit me, the relaxed good for every day comfy wear, the slim good for a night out. The 7 relaxed was just too tight. That was my only problem, as I had to order four different sizes and styles before I figured this out. I love that they are available all cotton NO SPANDEX!

Honestly, I would like them about an inch shorter... but with everything else just right how do you complain about the length?

The denim is heavy and takes quite a bit of abuse at work and at home from the cows! I wear them out on the town as well! They fit well, but a pretty loose around the waist (I have this problem with all jeans though). I would recommend these to everyone!

The jeans squinched down and looked weird. I was constantly having to pull them up above my waist and tighten my belt so they would stay in place. The denim is really nice and the stitching is attractive. Nice jeans but not for me.
