Crumpler laptop bags, camera bags and messenger bags enjoy nothing more than toting your laptop, protecting your pictures or holding all the essentials for a trip to the beach. Each Crumpler bag comes off the production line with a wonderfully creative name, falling anywhere from food-focused (the "Breakfast Buffet bag") to just plain clever (the "Combover" bag or the "Brazilian Dollar Home") - but while Crumpler has a keen sense of humor in the naming process, the folks at Crumpler make a serious business of creating quality messenger bags, laptop bags, wallets and totes to protect your essen ... Pros:
    Strong Construction
    Cons:
Hard To Access Equipment, Too much velcro, Too small for my camera
    Best Uses:
Protecting Gear, Storing Gear, Transporting Gear
    Describe Yourself:
    Hobbyist/Enthusiast
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I picked this up as an upgrade from my original camera bag. It wound up being only big enough for my camera and a few accessories. No lenses will fit. It is built well and will be a protective case, but I wish it were a hair larger to fit just one lens.

I ordered the black bag and found it is baby blue on the inside. It appears sturdy, with strong seams and zippers and made of a thick material. The back is well padded and the shoulder straps are made of a dense material. On the downside, it is heavy for its size. It has a removable laptop sleeve, which has a large flap that closes with two large velcro pads. This flap is awkward to yank open with the sleeve inside the pack and just gets in the way. Similarly, the pack has two zippered pockets on the outside. The pockets themselves are large, but the zippered openings are small, so you can't actually put large items into the pockets. There is no external water bottle pocket. The shoulder straps are attached close together so that with a heavy load, they hurt your neck. The carry handle attached between the shoulder straps is very stiff and pokes the back of your neck if you put both shoulder straps on. For a bag with a high msrp, I expected more thought to be put into its usability and I was disappointed with it.

This is a great bag for protecting your camera during normal daily use. My D80 fits, along with my large flash unit or (a little bit of a stretch) my flexible tripod. Plenty of padding and quality craftsmanship that should wear well. There's also a zip and a velco pocket that have plenty of room for extra batteries, memory cards, or remotes. Perfect for when I want to keep my camera with me but not haul around all my normal equipment.

I bought the Crumpler bag for my son and his wife for Christmas. They just purchased a movie camera and small digital camera. Both fit in the bag and protect them wonderfully - with room for cords and extra SD cards and mini DVD's. I love the bag, and your site!

Crumpler bags are the best. Much nicer than the flimsy, inexpensive bags that end up frayed and scuffed after a few trips in the field. Heavy-duty construction all around. These bags are supposedly seconds. I purchased three different ones and I have yet to find the flaws. At this price, it's hard to pass up.

Versatile and sturdy bag for toting all a small camera needs. I get a mini tripod, extra battery and charger, PC hookup cables and camera instructions in this bag, in addition to the digital camera itself. Case closes with sturdier than usual velcro and a quick release latch.
