5.0 out of 5 stars. I love itVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from grand rrapids on Wednesday, September 30, 2015As a committed sun-avoider of many decades, I have quite a collection of caps designed to protect my head and face. The two Summit Air Caps I just purchased immediately jumped to the head of the line in my preferred solar-headgear arsenal. To my great pleasure they are the least expensive by a wide margin. (If you are serious about saving money, you MUST sign up for the BarnBurner emails STP routinely sends out. I cannot mention the cap's price here, but it was a bargain indeed.) The ample cape fastens with magnets strong enough to hold it in place in almost any gale, and the cape's adjustment allows me to shade more of my face than anything other cap I possess. It is ventilated, a plus. An unusual feature will be of more use to some than it is to me--a brim with two folds, allowing flexibility in travel and storage (say, in a pocket). If I were to quibble, I would admit that I wish the cap were waterproof and that the brim were longer and wider. But at this price, with this amount of quality and utility, quibbling would be almost sinful. Thank you, STP!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good hatVerified Buyer Reviewed by WIO from Michigan on Thursday, August 20, 2015First of all I like the hat itself. Fits well (I usually wear a large), great ventilation, dries fairly quickly and folding bill makes it east to stash in a back pocket.
The neck shade is a bit hokey. The magnets kind of work but are a little difficult to keep flap attacked to hat. attached. I removed the flap and had a hard time getting it back on. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great fit...Verified Buyer Reviewed by MtnMama from Washington on Thursday, August 20, 2015Not sure how long I'll be able to keep detachable neck cover. But do like fold ability of hat and low fit on head. Waiting to see how magnets hold up in weather

1.0 out of 5 stars. DefectiveVerified Buyer Reviewed by NNMMOM from Northern New Mexico on Friday, January 2, 2015Bought as a gift and sent directly to recipient's address. It arrived defective, magnets missing. The return process, has been a nightmare for the recipient and I am very disappointed with Sierra Trading Post on this purchase. I will think twice about buying anything as a gift from STP again.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Magnet flippedReviewed by Anonymous from Idaho on Friday, August 15, 2014The one we received has a magnet flipped over and we have tried to flip it back inside the sewn fabric, but the fabric is sewn too tightly around to flip it. So, if you want the flap fabric twisted, it would work. We don't, so its being returned. If the magnet had been sewn in properly, it would likely be fine, but then again, I'd rather just trust a snap or a button or Velcro.

4.0 out of 5 stars. surprising comfort in hot weatherVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dakota from Dakotas on Monday, July 28, 2014I only wore it once before my husband stole it for his long summer work days. This hat stays on during ATV travels at 15 miles an hour, which is kind of our top speed. It is light and super packable. A good buy and more effective than other hats.I wish it came in a light color but it is still comfortable in full sun. We live in the midwest, not high altitudes.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Weird, but it works!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from New Jersey on Tuesday, June 10, 2014I bought this hat for sun protection while gardening. It works great! The neck shade is a little short, and my husband says I look like Deputy Dawg with it on, but it sure beats getting sunburned on my neck and ears, and keeps the Deer ticks off my head. The shade is held in lace on the hat with magnets - an unusual concept. The unintended consequences of the magnets means that if you machine wash the hat (I have, delicate cycle) the hat clngs to the washer drum, and, if you want to hang up the hat, any iron or ferrous metal surface will do -- you don't need a hook, which is fun.
The hat is also very lightweight and cool because it s ventilated on the sides. And I really like that the brim is foldable, so I could stick it in my pocket. Its an awesome hat and a great deal.
