The vest is brilliant. I just wish that instead of an all mesh back the fabric was the same as the front.

Its just a little long for me (ordered large) I'm just under 6', and I wear a technical t-shirt and technical long sleeve underneath. This is great to about 30 degrees. Has deep pockets inside the jacket, would be good if it had a zipper but it works... keep my cell in it. Nice purchase

Good material and craftsmanship. Provides protection from elements in front and shoulders; however, has an open mesh back. Another lacking design feature is that it does not taper from chest to waist, so it is baggy around the stomach.

Slightly large but within acceptable parameters. If I had paid full price ([$]) I would have been disappointed with the product. But thanks to Sierra Trading and additional discounts the price paid ([$]) made the product reasonable for its intended purposes. CW-X makes better gear than what this product represents.

Vest is great for running on cooler days when a shirt alone isn't enough.

I run 40-50 miles/wk in all weather. The wind/water resistance appealed to me at Sierra's great price. Just be aware: the entire back of this vest below the shoulders is mesh. Front and shoulders are more substantial. On the plus side, mesh keeps the weight down and breathes like crazy. I've used it in substantial winds between 30 - 40 degrees and was comfortable. Totally blocked the wind - in the front. Haven't been caught in precip in it yet. That mesh back will be interesting. I like it overall. Fit runs large. I normally wear large - bought a medium - and it still feels a little big.

While running I use the vest over my thicker shirts when the temp drops below 30, works great to keep heat in and wind out. Very lightweight, great price

This is a very good product for a tremendous price. Unlike the headline however, it is not a cold-weather vest (the material is extremely thin and the vented back is a full mesh). I would absolutely recommend this as a windbreak/outer layer for mid-temperature workouts.

Took it out on a blustery December run....27 degrees outside, with a heavy wind (wind chill about 15). The vest was perfect. Blocks wind up front but has enough ventilation. Very comfortable. Came home and picked up a second one, just in case. For [$], this is one of the best buys on STP.

Great fit...comfortable on moderately cold, wet, late fall, wintery days....
