Reviewed by Madison County from Arkansas on Thursday, January 9, 2014These are great headlamps for emergency use. I have several I bought for that purpose. I also use one walking into my tree stand in the pre dawn hours. The adjustable head band is nice. I have no idea how long these last, but with my field use so far it is perfect.
Reviewed by Goldwave from SW FL on Friday, November 15, 2013I thought this was a good deal. It produces a good amount of light by simply turning the end of the light. Obviously it can be attached to other things besides one's head. You can slip it over or tie it to something. You can swivel the light angle by twisting the fabric band. I was particularly pleased with how lightweight this is; it is not at all uncomfortable.
I come from earthquake country (southern California) and although I don't live there anymore, I would point this out to people who have earthquake emergency kits. After a quake, your place will probably be a mess of clutter (inside and out). Having to try to carry a light means you lose the use of one hand which you will probably have better use for (such as in stabilizing yourself, dodging broken glass and moving stuff). Consider that one or both of your hands/arms might also be injured. To avoid the dreaded "flashlight in the mouth"necessity you should consider adding some of these to your emergency kit, especially as they are so affordable.
Reviewed by BuffeysMom from Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 17, 2013A very bright light in a very small package. Small enough to carrying in a pocket but bright enough to keep you on the trail.
Reviewed by dotsnail from New York on Wednesday, August 21, 2013I have two LED headlamps, this one and a slightly larger one that runs on 3 AAA batteries. This one is so small you barely notice it yet it puts out a lot of light. On the downside, it requires the more expensive CR2032 batteries that are a bit more difficult to find in smaller locations. Keep a blister pack with 2 batteries handy, just in case.
Because it is so light, it can be worn for a long time. And you don't always need lighthouse strength light output of the bigger unit. Because it is so small it is easy to pack. I am thinking of replacing the mag lite I always carry in my day pack with this one.
Reviewed by Mom from Hilliard, Oh on Tuesday, June 11, 2013Cheaply made. Weak materials. No on off button. You screw it to turn on and unscrew for off
