Ari the dog liked the cosiness and quality of this piece, but was annoyed by the elastic tail holder. We needed an indoor jacket so I returned it. Beautifully made and quality materials and details are the hallmaks of this piece.

Our little cattle dog-terrier (33 lbs) doesn't fit most sizing "guides", but we got him a large based on best estimates and other reviews. It's a little roomy, but because it snugs up with the snaps on the side it's fine. Smaller would have been to tight, especially around the neck. Merino wool is great because it's so soft, washes well, and still insulates when wet. Our dog has a single coat and is slender, so gets cold easily. This is a nice layer!

This is a great sweater for my long-legged hound. I always preferred pullover-type jackets for previous dogs, without hardwear to fail or to get caught on underbrush (or for other dogs to chip teeth on during wrestling matches!). But my current dog's legs are just too long to fold into that type, and this is a great solution: the snap-buckle fastenings are simple and sturdier than velcro, and they're covered by a fabric flap so they don't hang up on anything in the woods. The coat has good coverage, looks and feels great, and fits true to the size guide.
