I love the extra padding in the foot bed and toes. Helps you stay warm and cushions well in hiking boots.
I wear a size 8 shoe, and M was just right in this Dahlgren style. I have other socks from manufacturer - for light weights I may consider a small, for mid and heavy weight I buy medium. -
