Dakine 101 Backpack

This is our second Dakine 101 purchase. We bought one for our son for high school. He loves it and we decided to get another one for me to use for business travel and "just in case" something happens to my sons pack.. Very functional, quality construction and stylish!

I don't know about durability yet, I've only had the pack about a week. The build quality is great, all the zippers work very smoothly, no loose threads or any cosmetic issues upon arrival. I really like the pocket layout. The fleece lined sunglasses pocket is a must for me as well. The other pockets are well thought out. I like the side opening laptop and calendar pockets. The outer pocket has enough organization for most of my EDC needs (flashlight, usb drive, sd cards, pens, phone charger, small point and shoot camera).

I bought this pack to use for Seminary. I can throw my laptop in the padded pocket and a bunch of books and don't worry about my laptop being crushed. The separate laptop pocket works great for getting it out or putting it away quickly.

I carry around a lot of stuff in my backpack - water bottle, lunch, books, workout clothes, e-reader, umbrella, etc. The backpack is extremely roomy. There are three large pouches and I counted seven pockets with zippers. There is also a small carrying handle on the top. I still have plenty of room leftover after I put in all my stuff.

Great looking pack for a great price! Perhaps a woman's pack would've fit better on shoulders, but overall, a winner! I tug around lots of stuff and this pack doesn't look big or bulky, yet fits a bunch of stuff and in an well organized fashion!
