Nothing more rugged and utilitarian than this duffel. I can fit my ski boots and attire for a week of skiing with no issues. Quality is awesome, style is better than awesome. I own two of these and the skiing family fights over tham.

This duffel bag is huge. I had to return for a smaller bag as I hadn't looked at the actual dimensions. It is most appropriate for a very long trip or packing lots of thick, winter gear or several family members' gear combined. The quality is great-I just wanted smaller.

I bought this somewhat on a whim, but I suddenly decided I was too old to be schlepping around backpacks and duffels and really needed something with wheels for international travel. I travel to sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia for work for 2-3 week stints a few times a year, and this duffel has room plus some. I prefer the open space of a duffel compared to more compartmentalized traditional rollerboards, but it is just one big compartment, which may not be your cup of tea. I guess I'm a fairly light packer, and obviously I don't need heavy coats for these climates, so I find I have extra room. I could have probably gone with one size down, but this size was ideal when traveling with my boyfriend as we could fit everything for a 10 day trip in one checked bag. The duffel itself is sturdy and not too heavy (not ultralight either), fabric is hardy/maybe a little water-resistant, print is easy to locate on a baggage claim, and it rolls smoothly on a variety of developing country surfaces. My only complaint on the technical design is just that the handle only has one height when extended, which is a little longer/taller than I find comfortable (I'm 5'7").

Strong, sizable, well worth the money. And because it is dark, it doesn't show all of the love shared by the baggage handlers.

The color and quality of this bag is great! I have several items from Dakine and have not been disappointed. This bag is lighter than my traditional luggage and is easier to manuver. I am looking forward to our next long trip to fully test out this bag!
