I got these for my husband and he LOVES them! They are heavier than we expected, which means warmer than expected. A great shirt in every way! Very happy with the purchase and well worth the money spent.!

Ordered this shirt among a few other things. Love the color and fit. Great looking shirt, but the 1 button arrived broken. And another one broke and fell off shortly after. Wore this on a ride on the mototcycle and ended up with a cape after 20 min because all the buttons opened.

Winter in Central NY demands a good, thick flannel overshirt and this fits the bill. In my experience the best choice is a men's shirt. I got XL based on reviews but the initial wash/low heat dry does not seem to have shrunk it much, if at all. For me (size 12), it's big enough to go over 2 layers and to roll up the cuffs comfortably. The "Fire" color is as pictured, a large-scale plaid of black/red/cream. I am a warm and satisfied purchaser.
Question
“I want to make for sure these are the heavy flannels the write-up is suggesting. Is the weight given for these shirts the weight of the thread/fabric or total weight for the shirt?”

Answer
they dont seem to, I am pleased with them for the price, better quality than the true grit flannel shirts and thicker material.

Answer
It probably shrunk a little , but not enough to make a difference in the fit.

Question
“My husband wears a 16/36 dress shirt. Do you think your size large in this shirt would be long enough in the sleeves to fit him? Thank you for your response!”

Answer
A L has a sleeve length of 35 so it may be slightly small. For questions regarding sizing please refer to our sizing chart:|http://www.sierratradingpost.com/lp2/SizeChart.html

Answer
No. I purchased an extra large, and the sleeves are barely long enough. I wear about a 16 1/2 - 36.
