Dale of Norway Blafjell Wool Sweater - Water Repellent

Closeouts. Aside from its fabulous good looks, Dale of Norway's Blafjell sweater is loaded with performance -- a thick double-knit fabric that puts super-warm and skin-soft merino fibers on the inside, and Dale of Norway's proprietary Helio yarns on the outside, rendering it highly moisture resistant.

As is typical, all Dale sweaters are of fine quality. This one is exceptional because it isn't too heavy (unlike what one reviewer said, some Dale sweaters can be too warm to wear inside), has a zip front to reduce overheating inside, and has a great, sleek, modern style, although I like the traditional Dale sweaters as well.

i actually want to rate this a 3-4 star buy. it is not the same as another dale of norway sweater i own. both look great, both are super quality. this blafjell sweater falls slightly short when it comes to functionality -it is not as warm when the weather gets fierce. i left this in the closet when the temp dropped below a breezy 0 degrees. nonetheless, great for city wear, in and out of buildings/underground, and gets me compliments. pricey but a keeper.

I am 6'5" and require 37" sleeves, this sweater was a standard regular, a bit short on me. I really thought about keeping it anyway because it is so beautiful and felt so good on. I did not think it would be so beautiful from the picture, but it is. The material and workmanship are superb. I only wish they came in talls.

Good heavyweight sweater. Well made Dale of Norway quality. I didn't like the sleeves, that two tone coloring looks awkward (to me) in person. In addition the other tone is stitched in, creating two very bulky seams that bothered me and made my arms itchy.
I have another merino wool dale of norway from the "comfort" line, which is about half the weight of this one. Sizing wise I got both my Dale sweaters in medium - even though the sizing chart says I should get a large. Since nearly all my other sweater garments from banana, rei etc... are medium I was correct in assuming the same fit. This sweater fit comforatably over the thinner weight Dale I already have, even though they are both the same size.
    • Best Uses: Outer layer
    • Cons: Stitching
    • Pros: Heavy, Well Made

This is my second Dale sweater. I like both of them. Craftsmanship is excellent and the styling is very unique. A bit smaller than U.S. sizing, so if you like baggy sweaters, maybe go up a size.
    • Best Uses: Cool weather activities
    • Cons: A Bit Smaller Than Us M
    • Pros: Very warm and stylish

Typical dale quality, which is excellent, the fit is a little larger then other xl sized coats from dale which isn't too bad as it's meant to be a top layer and the extra size allows multiple layers underneath. The extra size my make it too big for some though if not layering underneath.
    • Best Uses: Top layer
    • Cons: Larger then other dale xl
    • Pros: Excellent dale quality
