very cool jacket but order a size bigger

Nice fitting jacket for someone who is in shape. Windproof and waterproof, though I have not worn it in bad conditions yet. Only downside is not a lot of room in pockets for gloves, hat, etc. Defintely nice for wearing around town.

This jacket was even better than I expected. Sure, it was pricey, but it's quite well made and fits like it was tailored. And it wasn't made in China! Good construction and good materials. To be honest, it's not quite perfect: it lacks proper padding at the top of the zipper, so it can scrape the chin a bit.

A trim, athletic fit (no bagging and also not a lot of extra room, it's true), warm and stylish jacket or even soft shell! Great looks, great fit, great warmth and wind-stoppage. Excellent quality workmanship and materials. Fine for Northern New Mexico's cold winters, windy days, and plenty of venues to wear this jacket. Another winner from Dale of Norway. Thanks, STP!

looks fantastic, very warm. size up one. 6'1", 185 ordered large, very nice ATHLETIC fit, no beer bellies allowed! Getting used to Euro zipper (zips like U.S. left side for women) and the seams in the sleeves rub with short sleeve shirt, may just need break in time and a hand wash since jacket comes quite stiff. Overall, works with jeans or dress up for work!

If you like Dale sweaters as much I do, you will love this jacket as well.

Was really looking forward to this jacket but was let down. It fit very tight in the chest and arm pits w/the Large size that I ordered, which usually fits me on the loose side. If you were a 44 inch chest which would be on the high side of Large, according to their sizing chart, it would be skin tight. The cut of the jacket made it feel like a suit coat so if you bent over to pick up something the sleeves road up and felt like the back would rip like the Hulk. Everything else about the item was extremely refined and high quality. Got my hopes up but had to return it.

The other reviews are spot on, this jacket runs a little small. I am 6', medium build and I can't wear this with more than a base layer and thin sweater. However, after a few days of use I realised I didn't need to - it's very warm. I did find some fibers escaping from the inside seams. I don't think it's a manufacturing defect, but they are a little itchy at first which spoils what would otherwise be a fantastic jacket. I'm guessing they'll drop out after a few uses and a wash or two. I've already been out hiking and skiing in this jacket and it's very warm. Use it like a soft shell and it'll take good care of you.

I wear this sweater on a daily basis, for walking around, taking a hike, driving to work, etc. Excellent quality and appearance, warm and windproof...definitely a little on the snug side. For me that's not a problem - I'm tall with a relatively thin frame. If you've got a bigger frame, this sweater might be restrictive for you (or not fit at all).
