    I was looking at this for possible pack addition but without a cover it is kinda hard to see going in the pack. I like to carry a little larger stones as I am using them on bushcraft style blades. Hard to sharpen those with a pocket size sharpner. I try to configure some sort of cinch bag for it.

    Cuts fast, Premounted to save time, Wipes clean easily
    Cons:
    No cover for stone, Too small for plane irons
    Best Uses:
    Chisels, Knives, Small woodworking tools
    Bottom Line:
    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    I use this stone to sharpen my woodworking tools. Plane irons can be sharpened, but its a challenge, given the small size. Chisels are fine. I wish this stone had a full wooden box, not just a premounted base.

    really like the stone, but its not as fine as i'd hoped. it has a small flaw on one side of (maybe 1 inch by 1/4 inch) the face but i work around it. the stone was well worth the price.
