I bought these for my wife, but they ran smaller than expected. Returned them for a larger size. I would advise buying a size larger.

Overall a good solid made boot. There a little on the heavy side, you must add your own steel cleats to the soul. I found the tongue to be strange, the bottom area where the laces go thru will tear you boot laces over time, they fit to tight in this area where they slide the metal rings. For the price a good solid made boot with a few design flaws.

Ordered 1 size up from regular shoe size and fits fine with heavy socks. Used them once so far on combination mossy rocks and gravel bottom. The footing was surprisingly good. Very comfortable walking on dry ground, also good support climbing up and down river bank.

This a great buy on a solid wading boot, feels like a half size large which will make them work well for winter fishing (extra socks). They have good support and need some break-in.

Good hiking boot & stiff enough for cobbly & bouldery strem bottoms. Rigid support in heel and archiles area for adjustable force fins which were cutting into my archiles with neoprene booties. Felt soles are best for slippery streams, but these soles are easier to clean, attract less mud, and reduce parasite transport.

A good-looking, very sturdy wading shoe. It is somewhat heavy if you plan to hike in it a lot. I will use it for wading and fly-fishing and only hiking to and from the river or lake from the car so that is not a big deal. I like the solid sturdy feel to it. Haven't tried the traction yet on slick rocks, but it appears to be very grippy considering it does not use felt. I am very satisfied so far.

And the beat goes on in my quest for a comfortable wading boot that I can hike for 10 plus miles. This boot is another in a collection of perhaps ten pair. None of the boots is perfect for hiking and fishing slick rock rivers. My first day in the field with these made me realize that I would have to do some modifications. I replaced the cheap insole with a quality product which made them much more comfortable. The rubber sole is slippery so I installed spikes to give me more traction on slick river rocks. The boots do not drain well so you are walking with a boot full of water until they finally drain. Dan Bailey would not be happy with these boots were he still with us.
