Since they arrived I've inspected them multiple times and have yet to find any flaws. The caiman hide is very symmetrically matched and placed, and the shaft leather is very soft and comfortable. One pleasant surprise for my tastes is while the boot pics on my screen showed the color of the caiman hide as a bit lighter than medium brown (and in some lighting almost a golden hue) along with the shafts appearing as an even lighter sand color, my boots arrived with a significantly darker shade of brown, including the shafts which matched the caiman vamps accurately. If anyone has concerns about this caiman hide being too light in color, give them a shot and you may be pleased. And big thumbs up for the Ultimate Flex leather footbeds which are very comfortable and just might allow me to skip my frequent use of insoles for cushioning in my boots.
