Dan Post Western Work Boots - R-Toe (For Men)

I don't see why anyone but a real cowboy would want to wear "real" cowboy boots with slick leather soles, high heels and pointy toes. If you sit on a horse all day with your feet in the stirrups, that kind of boot is just fine. If you want boots to wear while you're working, walking or having a beer, these boots are much better--mainly because in the pointy toed boots with slick leather soles and high heels, you can't work or walk--just ride horses with your feet in the stirrups, or hang around bars hoping people think you're a real cowboy.

Cause severe foot pain, doesn't breath well, doesn't move well.

Read other reviews before purchase, but still surprised at the workmanship. Took them out of the box and the dog into the snowy woods, they were very comfortable.

These are great boots for the money. I was concerned that they would look a bit clunky because they are work boots. But they look very good and are great for casual wear. They were comfortable right out of the box and I was able to wear them all day. These are my third pair of Dan Post boots and I have found that this company's boots fit well and are true to size. I could not be more pleased.

I bought the boots for casual wear and for working around the home. They are sturdy, well built and stylish. The right boot fits like a worn comfortabe shoe, however, the left boot is too tight across the top of the foot and uncomfortabe. I'll have to return them. [...]

The boots were tight across the top at first but are breaking in well. They breath well being all leather. They do seem slighly narrow.

I love these boots! When I first got em' they were a little snug across the top of my arches but soon relaxed to fit real nicely. Just rub on a little neatsfoot oil and they fit great. You can tell they're high quality due to being fully real leather. I use em' mainly for everyday wear. They look like cowboy boots are supposed to and I got em' for [$]. What a great deal!

Just got these and put them on with white tube socks. A little tight, to be expected, not bad, need to be broken in. A little slip in the heel, I think to be expected with new boots and this type of boot, not bothersome. Great pair of rugged but stylish western boots! Thanks Sierra Trading Post!

These boots where stiff at first but after a week of wearing them, they are getting broke in and more flexibale. I use these for work boots during the day, the sole looks like it will give me more miles than most work boots I have purchased in the past. Very good quility boot.

These have turned out to be great boots. I was a little concerned at first because they were very tight across the instep however, this is probably the way a good pair of boots should be -- it has been a long time since I bought a quality pair of western style boots so I had forgotten. After wearing them a few times they hsve become very comfortable and have formed to my foot. I would expect this from a quality pair of boots since everyone has a different foot (and feet). Now that they are broken in I expect that they will last a very long time and stay extremely serviceable because they are not sloppy and oversize like a boot that would be tried on at the store and judged on the spot for comfort. The sole on these boots should wear like iron, given my previous experience with this type. The antislip capability is fantastic --I'm glad I bought two pairs. JPW
