walk dog 3 miles dailiy in local park on hiking trails, so needed something durable and weather-proof; fairly comfortable right out of box, although a little stiff around ankles

Since the previous reviews stated that this boot is sized small, I ordered a 1/2 size larger as everyone suggested. And, I agree - order a 1/2 size larger! I haven't had a chance to actually hike with this boot, but the boot feels good and should hold up to any hike.

  • Question “Not sure what size to order - 5 1/2 or 6. My regular shoe size is 5 to 5 1/2. I have come across tennis shoes and boots that were too short in a size 5 1/2, but I also do not want to swim in them.”
Asked on 9/1/2012 12:00:00 AM by mko7787 from Bay Area, CA
    • Answer Recommend the 5.5 for you. The toes will be roomy, but not too short. If you plan to wear heavy socks though, you might want to try the 6. If you don't need the extra heat, don't plan for heavy socks because these retain heat.
