5.0 out of 5 stars. Great product for the priceReviewed by T.D. Wolfe from Appalachia Mountains N.C. on Tuesday, September 7, 2010I've been free hand sharpening for nearly twenty years, and I've used a lot of different products. Diamond Stones, Water Stones, Oil Stones, Dry Stones. This is hardly the top dog in the sharpening field, however as a travel stone, something to put in your pack for long trips camping, etc. This is a lot better than most of your larger stones. But you must be an experienced free hand sharpener to use it properly. At the same time this is also a great stone to learn on for the price. I highly suggest this product.
- Best Uses: Camping, Hunting, Survival, Tactical
- Cons: Can be too small, Must be experinced
- Describe Yourself: Hunter
- Pros: Four Grades of Stone, Great Travel Size, High quality

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not what I neededVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ann from Lexington, MA on Friday, May 21, 2010I bought this before I watched a video about how to sharpen knives, at which point I realized that a larger stone without the guides at the end would be easier to use. I'm also not sure that four different coarsenesses are necessary.

4.0 out of 5 stars. WOW! I am Pleasantly SURPRISED!Verified Buyer Reviewed by James D. from Vancouver, WA (USA) on Monday, May 17, 2010I was really surprised of the high quality of this compact sharpener. The description said that this is a Factory second, but I haven't found ANYTHING wrong with it! Thus far, I've sharpened seven different knives with it, everything from a two inch blade to a ten inch blade, without any problems. I really like how the sides are angled to help establish and maintain an excellent cutting edge. I was worried about the two inch width, but that doesn't seem to be any trouble at all. If you're looking for something compact that you can keep in the livingroom, this is the PERFECT set of stones for you. The package appears to be made to serve as a storage container as well. EXCELLENT BUY, and I would recommend it to anyone.....
