I have worn Dansko since I had foot problems about 10 yrs ago. I have never had a Dansko shoe that I needd to return until this pair. i wore them shopping, went into another shoe store and bought a pair of clogs to wear home since these hurt so much. I have had 2 foot surgeries and still use Danskos for most of my footwear.

I loved the look of this shoe and am a Dansko fan, but this is the first time I had a sore foot at the end of the day. Definitely can't wear them two days in a row. I think if a Dansko shoe has a heel higher than 2.5 inches the ball of the foot pushes forward as you walk and causes discomfort. I will try a foot pad and see if that makes a difference. On the plus side the shoe is very classy looking and great for wearing with jeans, dress slacks, skirts or dresses. The red color is not a true red, but muted and very pretty.
    • Best Uses: Going Out, Work
    • Cons: uncomfortable
    • Pros: Beautiful Color, Great looking, Stylish

I usually wear a 9W. These in a 41 fit very well so yes they run wide. Arch and heel are comfy. They looked pinkish in the photo but are a toned-down soft red. I wear them to work, church, shopping - can walk all day in them even with chronic tendinitis. Love 'em, pulling out everything red in my closet to go with.
    • Best Uses: Everyday wear
    • Cons: More red than pink
    • Pros: Comfortable, Generous width, Great Support, Not clunky

About Dansko

That fabulous feeling you get every time you slip into a pair of Dansko shoes is no accident. It’s the very reason why this footwear brand took the market by storm in the late 1980s after its signature style was discovered in a small Danish shop and reproduced (with several upgrades) by Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup. Originally dubbed the "perfect barn shoes," that initial pair of Dansko clogs would soon evolve into a full collection, all featuring the signature anatomical footbed, roomy toe box, rocker bottom and heel raised just enough to ease leg and back muscles from morning to night. Now, more than two decades later, wildly popular Dansko shoes are available in more than 3,500 retail venues worldwide.
