    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I should have listened to the review I read that said the fact that the back strap wasn't adjustable compromised how the sandal fit. I figured that since I was at the high end of the size, it should fit me. I was very wrong. There was a about an inch space between my heel and the back strap. The sandals were very comfortable elsewhere, but I couldn't wear them as is and had to return them.

    I love the sandals, they are very comfortable, the only problem was the straps were much too long and do not have an adjustment - I had to take them to a shoemaker to shorten. Otherwise they were perfect. They may have been seconds.
