I am a morbidly obese 57-year-old bank teller and these shoes allow me to stand (and lean) at my job all day. I can sit, but my brother-in law, John, says that standing burns 60 extra calories per hour. So by standing in these shoes an extra 6 hours, five days a week, I am hoping to lose two poun... So comfortable. Best with socks! Good for fall and winter everyday wear. Look like fancy shoes. But they wear like danskos!

Fit true to size and comfortable out of the box. I bought three pairs and would have bought another in blue if they had my size. I bought two in the red, one I use for work, etc. and the other I use for gardening. I get compliments whenever I wear them. As garden shoes they are awesome because they can go in the mud and the mud doesn't get in crevices on the bottom. It's also nice to have complete protection on my feet in the garden - and I do wear them for other outside chores. They even make my porch look good.

I have been wearing the same leather clogs to muck out stalls and for barn chores for years. They were of course disgusting, smelly, and not allowed in or around the house. I finally decided it was time for a new pair and found these *cute* plastic Dansko clogs! Just what the doctor ordered. Not only do these clogs keep me elevated out of the mud and muck, but with a simple hose-off at the end of the day, they are good as new. They are also very comfortable and supportive for my feet after hours of hard work. Thanks Dansko!

I blog about wood-soled clogs at Every Clog Has Its Day and have raved about shoes with wooden soles for years. I've even gone so far as to post warnings to my readers about clogs that appear to be made of wood, but aren't. Then about a month ago when I was shopping at my local Nordstrom Rack, I picked up a Dansko thermoplastic clog from one of the shelves at random and decided it would be worth finding one in my size somewhere. Once I saw there were deep discounts available on remaining stock online, I knew I had to take the plunge. It was a moment of miracle and wonder when my order from Sierra Trading Post arrived and I discovered my foot would slip easily into the size 42 in this style. (About half of the Dansko styles I've tried in that size will fit me. The other half are inexplicably too small.) And not only did they fit, but with their all-thermoplastic construction, they proved to be as fun and quirky as I like my shoes to be. Highly recommended. Even if they're not made of wood!

  • Question “Hi there, when will you be getting in more Dansko Pixie Clogs?”

Asked on 1/17/2016 9:58:48 PM by Gabrielle from Bozeman
    • Answer Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Therefore, popular sizes and colors can sell out quickly. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. You will receive email notifications of our newest stock items.

  • Question “are these slip resistant?”

Asked on 12/9/2013 7:25:33 AM by sis from montana
    • Answer I suggest you don't wear them when there is snow or ice. I did once when it was icy and down I went even while being extra careful.

    • Answer Yes, I find these clogs slip-resistant and wear them all the time, both indoors and out. I have to be extra careful about this because I am prone to fall. I got my first pair of Pixies at least six months ago and haven't fallen or slipped up at all, even walking my dog on grass, cement, and wet, autumn leaves!

    • Answer We don't have much ice and snow in North Carolina, so I haven't had occasion to test my clogs in unusual conditions. In any case, I'd be wearing boots, not clogs, on ice and even then it would be slippery. I find my Pixies quite safe under normal conditions: on bare floors and carpeting as well as outdoors in rain or shine. In other words Pixies are slip-resistant on any surface where one would normally choose to wear clogs. They have the added feature of staying securely on my foot, even while playing soccer in the park with my dog.

    • Answer Since the upper are Thermo-plastic rubber it is not likely that they will stretch any.
