Reviewed by RunnerGirlNM from New Mexico on Tuesday, March 4, 2014We purchased this board for our daughter as an early birthday present. We looked over several boards on Sierra and she chose this one. She loves the top sheet, and she loves how it feels. She's an accomplished snowboarder and is super pleased with her new board!!
Reviewed by drumlinds from Massachusetts on Friday, February 28, 2014I bought this board to replace a 14 or 15-year old K2 Luna (which was a solid beginner board). I'm 5'7" and 120 pounds and I bought the 149.5 cm. This board is SO much fun. It has good acceleration and gets pretty fast but still leaves you with good control at high speed. I've only ever snowboarded in New England, and the snow felt like butter - I almost couldn't fall down. (I haven't tested it on ice yet.) I like carving and bombing down the mountain, and I think this board is going to be perfect for me. (It's pretty stiff and it's not a park board.)
I de-tuned the edges before I used it, but otherwise I didn't touch the wax or sharpen the edges. The wax on the bottom of the board has a pattern so that it's not 100% smooth. I think it's to help make the board faster, but I assume I'll have to fill the pattern in if I ever have it waxed.
Anyway, I highly recommend this board!
Question “What year was this board made?”
Answer You know we researched this before we purchased it for our daughter. It seems like it was last year's board. You could go on the DC site, or there was a site that reviewed many different models of snowboards that we checked out. Good luck!!
