Needed a good winter coat. Also one I could use during winter activities. This coat has surpassed my expectations. Very durable & never once have i been cold; it's been below 0 degrees w heavy winds & snow, too. Cannot go wrong w this jacket.

Used for skiing in cold and sometimes wet conditions. Seems to repel water effectively (at least initially) and breaths/vents well to stay dry. Insulation works great and keeps warm in cold windy conditions. Thoughtful design features: detachable hood, high collar with soft liner covers neck/chin well, good snow skirt with sturdy snaps, deep zippered pockets with snap flap covers, sturdy zip pulls, cell/iPhone/iPod pouch on inside pocket, zipper/mesh arm pit vents, lift-pass holder conveniently folds down from inside waist of jacket and waist adjustments located inside exterior pockets. Snap-off fur collar is worthless - does not fit well on hood and is not durable.

Like the other guy said this runs a little big so I bought a M based on that and it fits well (normally I'm between M/L). Sleeves are good also, I'm 6-2 with shirt size 16-35 and yet they are a perfect length. It's a pinch large in the chest but you can pull it up with the center drawstring. Only annoyance is the drawstring slack is in the right pocket and doesn't tuck away easily.

This is a super sweet jacket. It looks good, keeps you warm, and it's very well priced (cost double at my local ski-shop). I would suggest (if you have the chance) of trying this jacket out at your local shop first though. I'm always a large when it comes to jackets but this one fits me comfortably in a medium. Don't hesitate, purchase this shiat
