Descente Element Cycling Jacket - Soft Shell (For Women)

Great product but had to return this as it was too big.

I wished I could have kept this jacket, but it was just too short for me (I'm 5'8"), particularly as I was looking for a little more coverage in bad weather conditions. The jacket did seem to be very well made, and I have been very pleased with my other Descente products purchased from STP. I ordered the turquoise, which turned out to be a bit brighter than expected. Still, I would have kept if the sizing fit me a bit better--always good to be visible on the bike.

It's sometimes difficult to find jackets that fit given that I am truly petite. This one does! Love it!

I was skeptical about this jacket at first, because it is so lightweight. But I have warn it (over thermal layers) on bike rides when temperatures were in the 40s, days when it started to rain, and on a hike to the top of a mountain where the windchill was in the teens, and it has always kept me warm. The sleeves unzip so you can vent the body heat without losing the warmth on the arms. even the thin hood that tucks into the collar is warm. And the Descente cycling under-helmet hat matches it perfectly.

Keeps the wind out and keeps me nice and warm...maybe a little too warm sometimes but that is what the zipper and back-vent are for. Overall a great light jacket for cold weather. Throw on a long sleeve base layer or a jersey and sleeves and you'll be good to go.

It's a nice jacket but the back pocket is too small-- it can barely hold a light-weight vest.

Loved the look, fabric, and pockets, and still had to return because of the trim fit. Cycling clothes run tight, I know. Still, I was hoping an XL would fit my getting-thinner-every-day size 14 body. Admittedly, I'm really curvy, and the problem was in the hips and lower waist. If you're not so curvy or more of a 10-12 size, I'm sure you'll love it.

It's been too warm to wear it yet but this seems like a really nice, well constructed jacket with some very nice features. It's snug around the waist/hips but not too much so. Sleeves are long but should be ok on the bike.

I wanted a light weight windproof and water resistant jacket for cycling. This jacket had good features and fit through the shoulders and arms, but was too tight around the hips. If you are not curvy like me, it might be just fine.

I purchased this jacket for for 35 - 40 degree weather road riding. I loved the jacket but was looking for something warmer. I really wanted to keep this very nice jacket but have one very similar. You know I wish I had kept the jacket and have worn a heavier base layer. You'll love this jacket.
