The material is thick without being bulky. Offers great flexibility. I love the look of it, I think it's pretty sleek and unique. I live in Georgia so the coldest weather I've ridden in is the 40s, but even on cloudy, breezy, cooooold days, I'm very comfortable in this jersey

Off set neck zip seems like I great idea but I would prefer a Full zip with the off set; this set up makes jersey a bit fiddly to put on and take off. It also limits how often I will wear it (southern AZ is not that cold) Otherwise this jersey is very warm and cozy in temps below 45. Add a base layer/wind shell and you can wear this in any temp. "Jury" is still out about the lack of collar. On the one hand, if you pair this with a turtleneck base layer or soft-shell jacket less could be more in the bulk dept. On the other hand, this is intended for cold weather when you really want to protect your neck form the cold- you decide for yourself. As always, Descente has excellent pockets- zippers not so much. Thicker fabric with fleece inside is not as windproof as one would think by the exterior (it feels like I windproof waterproof piece I have from other maker) Sleeves and hem are nice and long offering great coverage/protection form cold air. Bottom line: it's a keeper for cold rides
