    Awesome shorts! The pad is great and hits all the right spots when in aero position (I tried them out on my trainer, not a real ride). I bought mine a size too small and exchanging for the larger size. These will be great for long, comfortable rides.

    I know I was warned by other reviewers that these run small, but they really run small! I own 7 pairs of Descente shorts, the '08s are all size small and '09s are all medium, so what's up with their '09 Spirit Shorts!? I ordered Blue in Medium, which I got on, but they were ridiculously tight. That said, the chamois in these is my favorite, and even though I looked like I had been "vacuum packet" in these they were NOT see-thru at all. The wide leg bands and waist band are wonderful (I have a pair of the 09 Strata's with the same design and I love them!)and the length is perfect, shorter for summer without exposing the excess flesh on the inner thigh. I guess these are the one pair of shorts Descente makes that follow their Size Chart to a "T". I'm planning to exchange them for Large. I want a second pair of light/white shorts for the imminent triple digit summers.

    These are my favorite shorts! They look great and are really comfortable. The chamois is firm and not too thick . . . feels very supportive. The length is a bit shorter than my other shorts, but I like that. Like others have said, these shorts run really small. I normally wear a 6 in clothes. When I first ordered these I ordered the small as stated in the size chart. I could barely get them on!! Returned those and got the large and absolutely love them. So much so that I came back and ordered a second pair in another color. Great buy.
