Most Helpful 4-Star Review
Reviewed by Ski from Oregon on Wednesday, October 10, 2012Bought this in black med. 8/10 I'm 5'5" about 117 lbs. Beautiful jacket, looks great on. It's too tight in the shoulders for me (I have broad shoulders) fits my daughter perfectly who is 5'3" 113 lbs, slighter shoulders. She could have worn a small but for layering she'll need the med. Falls just below the waist. If you are over 5"6" it's would probably be too short.
- Best Uses: Casual Spring Skiing, Cool days
- Cons: No insulation, No snow skirt, Too few pockets
- Pros: Flattering, Great price, Stylish, Well Made
Reviewed by snow ski from Oregon on Saturday, October 6, 2012I'm 5"5" 117 lbs, this jacket is a good fit and looks great (bought a med) large would probably be fine in the shoulders but too big everywhere else. I have somewhat broad shoulders so this is not going to work for me, too tight. I have that problem with most long slave clothing.I wanted it for a skiing jacket but feel pretty light for those cold days. Spring skiing and casual wear will be fine. I will have to give it to my daughter but it appears to be well made and solid.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by koski from utah on Friday, March 30, 2012Good looking jacket with terrific material. Convenient pockets. Although I did not try to size up, it was a little short on me.
- Best Uses: Casual, Hiking, Spring Ski
- Pros: Beautiful material, Great style
Answer Yes the Descente Team Jacket can be used as shell for skiing. It is not insulated but with the proper layering it would be a great outer shell.
